One thing that had been highlighted when it came to Wellington, was the over 100 year old funicular railway that runs from the city centre and up into the upland neighbourhoods. With previous cable car experiences being in the good to great range, I thought this could be well spent time. Unfortunately this one was on the other side of the spectrum. Basically nothing but a nice view. Maybe walking back down through Wellington Botanic Garden would have been a treat…? PS! Finding the entrance to the cable car on Lambton Quay can be a bit tricky. I went past several times.
