This place is easily accessible for visitors arriving in Finnsnes, Northern Norway, by sea. It is across the street from where Hurtigruten, Havila Kystruten, and the express boat from Tromsø and Harstad, docks. Same spot where you’ll find the buses serving Senja. I have been to this cafe twice only. First time was a couple of years back, and I wasn’t too impressed. I had Toast Skagen, and getting shrimps in brine, when you’re located by the coast, and close to fish factories, that’s not ok. It ruins the rest of the dish. It was the same day as the Arctic Race of Norway event, so maybe they had run out of the good stuff. Then take it off the menu. I’ve been told there’s a new owner, so hopefully they have tweaked it for the better. This time around, I went for the Club Sandwich. Must be the smallest Club Sandwich I’ve ever gotten, which makes it a tad expensive. Tasty though. The Northern Lights cake was really good, and looked good too. Glazed raspberry mousse on a brownie. In other words, you can go for lunch, or just coffee, tea, and cake, in quite stylish surroundings.
