I was looking for American (!) pancakes, while transferring through Tromsø, Norway, one morning, and the breadcrumbs lead me here, to Nyt. However, I ended up with no pancakes, landed on Toast Skagen instead. And no regrets! Tasty food, good mocktail, and nice surroundings. There’s not many dishes in each “category”, if you like, but I’ve heard that’s a good thing, not having tons of options. Rather focus on making the dishes you have, the best possible. The mocktail wasn’t on the menu, but the waitress offered to make me one. Thumbs up! The restaurant is down an alley, off Storgata (the main pedestrian street). A cosy outside, somewhat sleek inside. It’s quite small, not many tables. Communal table only available, when I arrived. Later found out there is an upstairs as well. Looks like the place turns into a bar on Friday and Saturday night. Also have dinner options. All I can say is, enjoy (= nyt)!
