This was my first experience with the food on offer in Krakow, Poland, and it was not a bad one. I was in need of breakfast / lunch. I had seen some posts online about this place, and when the hotel receptionist suggested it too, my mind was made up. Making my way to Świętego Jana 30, I went for the one in the old town – looks like there are two of them in the city. Arriving to a pretty full restaurant, I asked if I could sit in the other room, instead of being squeezed in between other guests. Not as nice as the main area, but still nice. There were a couple of seats outside as well. Food wise, I went for a bagel with scrambled eggs and bacon. Thinly sliced bacon, just the way I like it. Perfectly cooked. Tons of scrambled eggs, close to 3 inches high pile, not kidding. Way too much for me, but tasty. Only drawback, the bagel was a bit dry, could have been toasted, and maybe added some butter, olive oil, mayo, something making it not so dry. Asked to take out the cheddar, but don’t think that made a difference. For drinks, spinach smoothie, with ginger, mango, and apple. Family on the next table looked half happy with their meal, but I was good.
Tried a couple of other eateries in Krakow too, including the famous Zapiekanka.
Speaking of bagels. I love the Polish bagel. I’ve seen it referred to as the Krakow bagel as well. You’ll see plenty of carts around town, selling them. Many variations / different “toppings”. I liked the spicy one the best. Come to think of it, I should have filled up my suitcase, I had room 😀

Yes, I was 1% below very happy 🙂
At some point I’d like to but it’s not currently on our schedule. You make it sound good!
That’s good 🙂 Have a few more posts coming. Then you will see why you should come, and why you don’t need many days here 😀
Ah, you’re from Dining with Frankie! I’ve never put two and two together 😀 You have so many restaurants posts. I need to remember that, when I’m away, looking for places to eat. Hopping over to check out your Oslo posts 😀
Does the phrase ‘food on offer’ mean food for sale? Thanks!
Yes 😊 Are you visiting Krakow?
