A new restaurant popped up close to our offices in Oslo, Norway. I don’t mind! This means a new place to celebrate work birthdays, grab dinner before flying out after work, and meeting friends for lunch. I’ve already gone through a few of the items on the menu 😀 Pizza Diavola. Apparently their chef once came in third in the World Pizza Championship, with his Pizza Margherita. I was planning on trying it, but decided I wanted a little spice. Pasta, Tagliatelle con Ragù Toscano. I think my favourite dish so far. Mussels with tomato, chili, and garlic, and focaccia. I realised I prefer creamy, white wine sauce, and fries, if possible 🙂 Had Italian soda for drinks, and pistachio ice cream for dessert. My friend had Pomodoro e Ricotta Bruschetta – whipped ricotta and marinated tomatoes on grilled, sourdough bread. Verdict: Good, but a bit too much cheese and tomatoes, and little else. Crudo doesn’t blow my mind, but is decent, and one of the better options in the area.
This Italian restaurant is located in Nydalen / Storo, outside the city centre. About 15 min on the metro. It sits inside the new, architectural landmark in the neigborhood. A cool looking building. Close to riverside, with outside seating. Nice interior, just not on the 2nd floor…
