Even though Siauliai is one of the biggest towns in Lithuania, it doesn’t have much to offer sightseeing wise. You could stop by the monument to the Lithuanian currency, the Cents Room. It’s gonna take you a couple of minutes only to cover. It’ll take you longer to find the place 😀 It is a room inside the Šiauliai University library, which does not look like a library, more like an office building. I had to ask my way around twice, before I found it down a hallway. It’s a small room whose walls and ceiling are covered in coins, 157,130 to be exact. They were glued on by library staff, students, kids, parliament members. People came from all over the country, or you could send in your (two) cents.
