I definitely had to take the opportunity to get spa treatments while visiting Lithuania. The Baltics are known for their spa traditions, and value for money can not compare in any way to what you get in Norway. I decided to go for Provanso Kvapai’s Vilnius branch, and I could not be happier.
I booked online, via e-mail, before arriving, and no hiccups. I heard back quickly. All their treatments, including prices, are described on their website. I went with a package deal, Golden Spa Ritual, for 99 euros. When I arrived it turned out their prices had gone up (to 115 euros), but I got the price I had seen on their site. Also if you buy a gift certificate you will get the 99 eur price. So give a gift to yourself 🙂
One thing you need to make sure, is that you head for the correct Radisson hotel. For some reason I had concluded it was at the one on the north side of the river. So not! When I finally entered the correct hotel, Radisson Collection Astorija Hotel, in the old town, close to the city hall, just behind it, all stressed out, the receptionist was kind enough to walk me outside, and point out the entrance just around the corner. So even though the spa is part of Radisson, it is located in another building, next to the hotel, with their own entrance on a narrow side street.
When I walked in the door at Provanso Kvapai, I found myself inside a pretty small room with tons of products for sale, and a very welcoming lady. Turned out the spa’s spaces were down in the cellar, so she showed me downstairs to the changing room, and when I got back out, the therapist was already waiting for me, offering me tea and chocolate before taking me into the treatment room. And I got a big room, all to myself of course. It had a sauna and tub, among other things. Really nice!
It says that the Golden Spa Ritual will take 1 h 40 min. First was a 30 minute bath, both with and without bubbles. Steaming hot water. So relaxing. Next, body scrub, body wrap, during which I got a facial (cleanse, mask, moisturiser) and scalp massage. Finished off with a light full body massage and golden serum. Supposedly it should leave a golden dust on the skin, but I couldn’t spot anything 🙂
Ended my visit relaxing on a sunbed like chair (very comfy) with tea, chocolate, and a plum 🙂 Perfect ending to my big city stay!
