The old town of Vilnius, Lithuania, is kind of the whole town of Vilnius. It’s pretty expansive compared to other old towns. However there is not much to see outside the main axis, and the areas close to it. You’ll find gems, but they are few and far between. It feels a lot like other Eastern European cities. A bit gray, with a splash of colour here and there, those churches brighten up the place. The G9 shopping mall zone gave off a more modern city vibe. Vilniaus Gatve is dotted with restaurants, cafes, and bars. The city definitely has plenty of amazing restaurants – great food, and good-looking! On the other side of the river it is mostly hotels, shopping malls, and a tiny business district. Took the bus out to Akropolis shopping mall. About a 30 minute ride. On the way there you get to see the residential areas, and maybe the “real” Vilnius…
If you are left with time to spare, you can always go to the spa, or should make it a must-do 🙂

I got this restaurant recommended by a lady working at the spa I visited. Centrally located at the city hall square. Very busy. However I wasn’t impressed by the Diavola I went for… I checked out a couple of other eateries in Vilnius also.
They seem to like “archways” in their architecture. Thanks for the tour.
Or maybe it’s be who likes to shoot archways 😀
