I’ve been to Lille O in Oslo, Norway, several times, and every time I go for Toast Sagen. Not that the other items on the menu don’t look tempting, but I just can not leave the Swedish shrimp salad alone. Every time I promise myself I’ll try something new, but it never happens. Same goes for the ginger beer 🙂 In total my colleagues and I must have tried all the lunch dishes, and I haven’t heard any complaints. It’s not a huge selection to choose from, but still everyone will find something to enjoy. You’ll also love the surroundings. The restaurant is located in the main building of an old farmstead, Lillo gård. So in front there is a courtyard lined with old, red-painted houses. The inside is cozy, relaxed. Almost feels like someone’s home. Come in the summer, and you can sit out back, in the garden, so to speak.
Lille O is located in the Nydalen / Storo area. It’s outside the city centre, but easily reachable by metro. Probably a good idea to ask for directions, if you’re a visitor.
