Silsand on Senja in Arctic Norway, is where I grew up, and since my base is in Oslo, this is now my second home. As a teen I wanted to get out as soon as possible. As an adult I’ve learned to appreciate the beautiful surroundings, and the slower paced life off the main grid. I’ve travelled a fair amount, and I love the remote places around the world I’ve been lucky enough to visit. Now let me give you a glimpse of mine 🙂
Senja is Norway’s next largest island. Most popular, and convenient, is the ring road, but the rest of the island has lots to offer as well. Like the Northern Lights. Have local dishes at Senjastua, or try the local bakery.
