Honestly, I have always ruled Los Tacos out, when looking for a spot to eat in Oslo. Everything has been against it – fast-food restaurant vibe, one of several authentic Mexican food places that have popped up in recent years, with none being impressive. In other word, when my friend suggested we’d get food here before going to the movies, I wasn’t overjoyed, but, hey, let’s not be the difficult one, and I just needed some fuel. To my surprise, the inside was not as fast-food-ish as I had thought, and the Chipotle taco was actually quite nice, while I found the Cali taco to be pretty bland. Also I got Mexican soda, Jarritos. If you’re on the go, looking for something quick and easy, and fairly cheap, maybe try this one out. Just saying, you might be surprised, too 😀
There are several branches in town, and out of town. We visited the one in Nydalen / Storo, close proximity to Odeon movie theatre.

Hee Hee. I first noticed Los Tacos back around 2017 due to the fact that they had a sign outside their Jernbanetorget location that said: MEXICAN FOOD SO AUTHENTIC DONALD TRUMP WOULD BUILD A WALL AROUND IT. As an American who hates/ed DT, it piqued my interest and told my better half we had to try it. I’ve been a few times and the food is decent, at least for TexMex abroad. I thank you for reminding me of that particular ad campaign and happy tacos!
Haha, I never saw that sign. I’ve not come across a good Mexican restaurant anywhere outside of Mexico. I’d rather do Los Tacos, than pay more for less at places like Coyo, quality of food is more or less the same.
