There are a few places to choose from, when finding a place to lunch at in Sintra, Portugal. I landed on Tasca Saloia, the pink building on the main square / roundabout combo, in the old town. Nice looking, little spot. Probably more tables outside than inside, but I found room. Since I had hit mainland Portugal by now, I guess I should have left the island vibe behind, but I just couldn’t resist it, the Bolo do Caco leaping off the menu. The traditional way, with steak and egg. The people at the neighbouring table stared at my food when being served. Either they found it interesting, or they couldn’t believe why I would go for it, here. What they had on their plates looked nice too, so I think this is a good choice, whatever you decide on.
