Cais Da Sardinha in Ponta Delgada, Azores, came highly recommended by our local tour guide, and after visiting, I can not disagree. The place is very nice looking, and located on the waterfront, the outside seating I assume, is perfect in the summer. We didn’t get to give it a go, in December. Something not as reliant on the time of year, the food, was exquisite! I ended up ordering way too much 😀 Three types of Azorean flavoured butter, and bread. Classic Cracked Eggs, which turned out to be straw potatoes and ham topped with a fried egg. And to finish it off, mussels, and fries – a dish I always have a hard time passing on. Loved this place, so I’ll highly recommend as well 🙂
Cais Da Sardinha is easily reached, at the waterfront, more or less adjacent to the fortress.
