Ondas do Mar in Lagoa, outside Ponta Delgada, Azores, was all thanks to Roberto of Sao Miguel Azores Tours. He picked me up around midday for a half-day tour. Since his other two clients (now new friends 🙂 ) had been out and about for a few hours already, he wondered if I’d like to join them for lunch, before embarking on the afternoon leg of the tour. And what a splendid idea! A seaside, local looking restaurant. Definitely nothing fancy, but veeeery tasty. First off, chicken soup with rice. Then, a generous selection of fish, veggies, fries, and meat. The meat was to die for! Loved it! To end it all, something I’d describe as whipped cream with passion fruit. Probably not what it was 😀 , but it was fluffy and delicious – just perfect for my sweet tooth! And, of course, a bottle of Kima 🙂 Now I got my new friends hooked on Kima as well 😀 With content bellies, we walked along the shore for a bit, barely able to spot the rock pool, tides were in.
