When I visited Stavanger for 3 days, I chose Scandic Stavanger Park as my home. The reason being nothing more than its close proximity to the bus station. I was planning on going by bus to Preikestolen, the Viking monument at Hafrsfjord, and, the airport. The hotel is more or less across the road from the bus terminal and the train station, so I got what I wanted. As for the rest of the place, the town is not very big, so it’ll take you, say, 5 minutes to walk to the heart of Stavanger – meaning shops, restaurants, and the likes. The hotel itself is also good, but some wear and tear are beginning to show. The room I got was big, so a perfect place to relax after the Preikestolen hike, which followed a sleepless night. Never got to enjoy the roof-top terrace 🙁 #PouringRain
