I got this Stavanger caférant (cafe + restaurant) recommended by a colleague of mine, a local. It is a bit off, meaning it’s not in the middle of it all, but still a short walk away. And it is definitely worth the walk. The restaurant facade might not be of the impressive sort, but the locally sourced food, and dishes, most certainly are. Loved the fish soup put in front of me! Considering the place being full, having to turn people away, I’m apparently not the only one happy with this eatery. I was lucky to get a spot at the bar. With few tables, to be sure you get a seat, you might want to make reservations. I am reading they have seating in the backyard as well.
