This place I was introduced to by a colleague of mine. Talking she got to know I have a sweet spot for börek. She then asked if I had been to Dana Bakeri, which I had not. After her “sales pitch”, I had to give it a try. The bakery is located in the same building as the metro stop at Forskningsparken – we’re in Oslo, by the way 🙂 You can smell it, before you can see it, and it smells heavenly. Whenever I stop by, morning or after work, what I get is fresh. The selection is huuuuge. I’ve nibbled at a fraction only, so luckily I have lots more to have at. This might not be traditional Norwegian food, and the cost is not typical Norwegian either – it’s cheap 😀 This shop is a very good place for a traveller on a shoestring.

I love Backstube! My first visit was at the location at Tøyen Torg, did a post on it too 🙂 After that, many more have popped up around town. You should try Dana Bakeri. I think you’d like it too 🙂 Can’t wait for normal times, when I can go to restaurants again, and sit down for a meal.
