On my stroll through Trondheim I passed the fish market, and I wished I was hungry so I could go in for something to eat. Later when hunger did set in, and I was trying to find a fix, I recalled what I had spotted earlier, and headed over with a bouncy step – someone was very content with their decision 😀 Having a meal at a fish market is usually not accompanied with the most impressive surroundings, unless you are at the Feskekörka in Gothenburg, Sweden. Same goes for Kloa, the sit-down part of the fish market, Ravnkloa. But as long as I get delicious seafood, I don’t care 🙂 Unfortunately they were out of fish soup, but a Skagenröra sandwich, a.k.a. Skagen Toast, is definitely not a bad deal either. After sitting down, a family joined me, but mostly people were stopping by to get their catch of the day. And lots of them. A steady stream.
Ravnkloa is by the canal, not too far from the city’s main square. It is located on the small plaza by the same name, where seafood has been traded for several hundred years, and where you will find a copy of the old Ravnklo Clock.
