Kai & Mattis Cafe on the main street of Hamar, is a hybrid of things. When you cross over the threshold, you are met by a maximalist interior expression, but amidst you spot items belonging to your childhood dinner table, pieces you don’t associate with any interior design style at all. The food varies from deliciously tasting to bland, from homemade to store-bought. Out of the eats I had, I highly recommend going for cake, even though the vanilla sauce accompanying it, was off the shelf – the brand I love 🙂 I know, not to everyone’s taste. The chicken pita wasn’t an explosion of flavours though. Would be willing to give the other lunch dishes a try, but definitely repeat the homemade cakes, on the perfect sofa for a cake coma, the softest I’ve come across 🙂
