Walking around Hamar wasn’t actually on my agenda. This was to be a pit stop only on my way to Røros, during which I was gonna have an early dinner with an old friend, who moved here years ago. As her workload grew, our dinner hang faded away, leaving me with 2 hours to kill while waiting for my train to leave. Now, what to do? Take to the streets. And what a surprise! For no reason, really, I have imagined this town to be grey, with concrete buildings – a nothing-much-happening place. Turned out not to be. Form the little I saw, I like it! Bigger than I imagined, and cosier too, sitting on the banks of Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake. I’m coming back! In the summer 🙂
