The Promenade in Kristiansand covers a lot more ground than the stretch of land I did, so I guess this is my version of the Promenade 😀 Nevertheless, the oceanfront walk is real gem. From Bystranda, which hosts the Palmesus music festival in the summer, to the spectacular Kilden Theatre and Concert Hall – that roof is something else!! On the way from A to B you’ll pass a marina with a sheltering pier, Christianholm Fortress, the somewhat unusual looking Nupen Fountain, artsy bird nesting boxes, which a local grandfather made me aware of 🙂 , lots of street art, mainly the non-mural kind, and the restaurant area Fiskebrygga – the perfect place to end this walk, with seafood, which is definitely what you go for down here.
