Ending an outing to the botanical garden in Oslo with dinner at Munks, at Tøyen Torg, was a fine idea! There is a few restaurants to choose from at the ’70s outdoor mall, which somewhat recently has become a popular place to hang out. By the method of elimination – what do we fancy? – this became our pick. It is a small, nice looking spot, with outdoor seating as well. During these COVID times you have to use the menu on their website, but it doesn’t make it a problem to sift out what you want to dive into, which, for me, ended up being a satay burger, accompanied by roasted coconut juice. The burger had a different kind of setup than usual – pickled carrots, asparagus beans, beetroot sprouts – it appealed to me. One sip of the juice though, and that was it – definitely not pleasing my taste buds, but now I’ve tried it 😀 For sure wouldn’t mind revisiting. The items on the list look really tasty!
Munks is a bit off in relations to the downtown area. Easiest is to take the metro to Tøyen. Short walk from there. Ask for Tøyen Torg.
