I’ve slowly, but surely learned my lesson. Busy places, stop, have a meal of the day. La Nueva Independencia in San Telmo, Buenos Aires, is that kind of spot. It has so much delicious to offer a hungry visitor, that for the indecisive it will be a struggle. First I kicked off lunch with the oh so ever present empanada and, one of my favourite snacks, savoury pie – this one with veggies in cream. Of course one can’t leave without dessert – had a really hard time picking out the three lucky ones 🙂 This is a bakery, but they have a couple of tables behind the display counters, where I could sit down and enjoy my treasures the way they deserved.
