Byens Bistro has been around in some shape or form for a long time. However, I have rarely visited. Don’t know why actually. But after seeing my friend’s food pics for a while now, I was eager to give the cafe a try next time I visited my childhood home. With Finnsnes being a relatively small place in Northern Norway, we are not too spoiled when it comes to variety restaurant wise. If I can add another option to my dining out alternatives, I gladly will, and can! This was a really enjoyable meal. A colourful chicken salad for my friend, and a boboli stuffed with chicken for me. Definitely to my taste, so I will be back! Only drawback is that they close fairly early, so not a late dinner option. Also, don’t be alarmed by the look of the location. It is placed in what used to be a small shopping mall filled with shops, now it is pretty abandoned looking, unfortunately like many of the other buildings in the town…
Update: This one unfortunately looks to be taking a turn for the worse… Stay away from the pasta (curry chicken) and muffin.
