After getting on a plane at 05:15 in the morning, breakfast was at the top of my list when I had made my way to the hostel. Tapiz was therefore my first meeting with the Punta Arenas food scene, and a cosy, little place. Very nice to step into on a a cold and windy day. The food however wasn’t top notch. The mushrooms were served uncooked. I read avocados, which turned out to be guacamole, with lots of lime, too much for me. Bland tasting scrambled eggs with ham. Maybe a case of cultural differences…? One thing they had going for them, they are flexible, happy to accommodate my mixing of dishes, a little bit of this and a dash of that 🙂 In other words, perhaps go for something else than what I chose, if you stop by.
