If you want to get a view of Punta Arenas from above, they have created a viewing platform, which is easily reached by foot from Plaza de Armas. A few steps up, and you are there. Do not mistake the cross on a small hill next to it, for the mirador, like I did, until I turned around and saw the real thing 🙂 It is a nice little area they have set up, but what you get is so so – I guess you can blame it more on the town you look down on rather than the view itself.
