Choosing to visit Panama City‘s old town on Separation Day might not have been the best idea. But after the celebration had calmed down a bit later in the afternoon, the neighbourhood became nice and quiet. Finding the more off-the-grid streets also had the same effect. Then I was able to do my favourite thing. Walk around in a leisurely pace, serene surroundings, taking in the colours and the architecture, which by the way were stunning! Since most people were off for the holidays, at least off work, what were inside those beautiful buildings I don’t know, and I really don’t care. I might have missed out on some cools shops and cafes, but I had such a wonderful time still, so it didn’t take anything away.

What colorful buildings. I would love to visit Panama City and also go through the canal.
The old town is really nice! The canal I didn’t find too exciting 🙂
Sorry, misunderstood 😀 Yes, going through the canal is suppose to be very nice!
I was in Panama City for all of 8 hours on a layover coming home from Costa Rica. Unfortunately, we flew in late at night and flew out early in the morning so we didn’t see anything but the hotel. But I’d love to go back and actually see it. #wanderfulwednesday
Yes, you should definitely go back. Spend a couple of days. I liked it!
I cruised through Panama so I didn’t get to stop here. The old buildings are quite lovely. You were lucky to get a chance to stroll the streets.
Panama surprised me a bit. Liked it a lot more than I thought I was going to. I hear cruising the canal is super!
