If you’re looking for a budget accommodation option in Harstad, Arctic Norway, this one ticks all the boxes, and actually overpreforms on some aspects. Like breakfast. It was very impressive. Can’t remember if I’ve ever found freshly baked bread and rolls, bacon, and three types of cooked eggs, scrambled, boiled and fried, on a budget breakfast buffet. Another feature that won me over, the bed, was super soft! There’s just one thing that might make you think twice, at least if you’re staying for a longer time, the room is very, very small. I was there for one night, with a carry-on only to my name, so I was fine with the square feet. Though think it is the smallest hotel room I’ve come across. Even smaller than the box hotel in Bangkok. Still they’ve squeezed in a lot, including a tiny fridge, table, desk, chair, and TV.
Brygga Guest House is a bit off the main square, but the walk into town, so to speak, is not too long. There’s also a grocery store just two blocks away.
