Harstad is the third largest town in Arctic Norway. Taking that into consideration when looking at the photos, you’ll soon realise the scale of things 🙂 Growing up on Senja, if you wanted some city feeling, you’d either go to Tromsø or Harstad. With Tromsø being the biggest one, we usually went there. Harstad was something mostly visited in connection with a trip to the hospital. Just like this time around. But this time I was actually very impressed by what the town has grown into. It is still small, so easily done in a couple of hours, but now it has a lot more to offer on shops and chic places to eat. Walking around I also spotted some cool street art, mixed with old wooden houses and architecture, and a harbour and hills providing splendid scenic views. If you happen to pass by, I’d say you should set aside a minute or two.

It looks really pretty. Definitely worth a visit! Thanks for sharing on #farawayfiles
Yes, it doesn’t take that long walk through, so worth the time.
Looks like a very pretty little place. I’m always won over by cute cafes to sit outside of!
It is a lot nicer than what I remembered from my childhood/teens 🙂
I like the look of this cute little town. The street art is fun.
It is actually a lot nicer than I remembered, but then again last time I visited I was a teen, and everything was boring 😀
