When visiting my friend and her son in Tromsø, Saturday’s dinner was a choice between Thai food and sushi. After a bit back and forth, we landed on Friends Sushi Bar across the sound. For them, being locals and having tried it before, it came as no surprise it was a good decision 🙂 I, on the other hand, will admit I became a bit sceptical walking in. With a so-so interior, I felt my expectations automatically take a plummet. Not my intent, I want to add! Sitting down, having a look at the menu, with plenty of tempting items, I could feel hope slowly, but surely, rise. When the food arrived, looking tastefully on the plate, and I dug into my flamed salmon sushi, my faith got restored! With the three of us having ordered different dishes, we soon went into swap meet mode, getting to taste them all 🙂
Friends is located inside the Pyramiden shopping centre in Tromsdalen, on the mainland, across the bridge from the city centre. The restaurant has a separate entrance too, so you don’t have to visit during shopping mall opening hours. How to get there? A friend with a car, is my usual mode of transportation in Tromsø 😀 , but I assume buses stop nearby.
