Hong Kong Island hotels don’t come cheap, which means to keep it nice, but basic, I had to look to North Point. A short 13 minute metro ride from Central, you still had to get on it to get somewhere. In that sense it felt a bit off. If I was to do it again, I’d find another area to stay in. There are a few restaurants, some shops, and a small grocery store close by, but nothing making it an attractive neighbourhood. The hotel itself is good enough – basic, clean, safe. The rooms might be on the smaller side, and the hotel turned out to be pretty tricky to locate – don’t know how many times I walked passed it – even with locals trying to help me out 🙂
