This place was not on my radar, but after leaving Chi Lin Nunnery, I came upon this park. No wonder though, as it is located opposite the convent, and partly under their care taking. Can’t say I saw other classical Chinese gardens in Hong Kong, so if you’re not visiting other parts of China on your trip, it might be a good idea to stop by. I definitely liked what I saw, and at that point I had been to a couple of these landscape style parks in and around Shanghai. I thought Nan Lian Garden was cute 🙂 With hills and rocks, waterfalls and ponds, unusual looking trees, and the brightly coloured Pavilion of Absolute Perfection. I explored a small part only, so it might have even more eye catching features to showcase.
Located a bit off the main grid of Kowloon, but is easily reached by metro.

It looks well worth the visit. Love visiting a garden on a city break. Thanks for sharing on #FarawayFiles
Yes, sometimes it’s nice to get away from the big city hustle and bustle
