With Charleston‘s city market fresh in mind, first we didn’t bother to look up Savannah, Georgia‘s, equivalent. But when we happened upon it by chance, we were delightfully surprised. With ice cream in hand we sat down on a bench to enjoy a local band sounding off their last tunes, before we walked the two blocks the market is made up of, peeking into some of the few shops there. It seems the place has evolved from a traditional market inĀ the 1700s to more of a regular city street, but is still a nice spot a bit off to the left on the city grid.
