When looking for a place to stay in Savannah, Georgia, we were faced with the same predicament as in Charleston, South Carolina. Everything was sold out. Well, we could have gotten a central 2 star hotel for 250 dollars a night. Not happening! In the end we found ourselves at Best Western Central Inn, a 15 minutes Uber ride from downtown. And it works. Just make sure you don’t have to run back and forth. Quality wise the hotel is what you’d expect from a budget option. You get the basics that you need, including on-site parking. This time we had breakfast included in our room rate. After getting to the breakfast room a little late, it was overcrowded, and with the selection not being very tempting, we jumped ship – happy that we had stopped by the mall and grocery store nearby.
For our road trip we rented a car from Alamo Rent A Car.
