When visiting the barrier islands of Outer Banks in North Carolina, we decided on spending a night in Nags Head. As a lot of the other places dotted along the 320 km string of islands and spits, this tiny town has some small, cosy looking shops and restaurants lining the main road running through, and a lot of “stilted” beach houses – which I LOVE the look of – I want one!! To go with the beach house, you also need a beach, and the one in Nags Head play its part, especially in the morning during sunrise – the best morning I’ve had in a loooong time – one word, gorgeous!!! To top it all off, I was lucky to find some sea glass, or more correctly, sea pottery, while strolling along – happy 🙂

You’re right, Bea. Those beach huts look amazing! I’d love to have one too. #FarawayFiles
I’d say yes to a beach hut too, but I really fell in love with the houses.
For some reason this reminds me of a beach I once went to in Sweden! It really is so pretty – and those beach houses are gorgeous.

Where in Sweden were you? My best morning in a loooong time!!
We have friends from Alabama and Ohio who both visit this area frequently and always make us jealous with their photos! I like this sound of this town though with its cute shops etc – I shall recommend it to them! #farawayflies
I loved the Outer Banks! So glad I decided to go! There are small shops scattered all along the string of islands, but I thought Nags Head was perfect for the things we wanted to do while there.
