When a friend suggest we should do dinner at this Oslo restaurant, and I checked the menu, I was a bit unsure. An asian restaurant serving burgers…? Well, I can hereby state, no reason to worry, this is a good one! But to be able to enjoy the Peking Duck, some salmon tataki with ginger ponzu, and wok-flamed edamame beans with chili and salt, you have to get out of town, kinda. This place is located in the suburbs, but is well worth you getting on the metro to get there, unless you stay at the hotel nearby 🙂 Located in a shopping mall, yes, you heard correctly, you just make sure to sit out on the deck, with a view of the local “beach” by the river running down towards the fjord, and you’ll have a good day out 🙂

The food looks great and glad the restaurant recommendation turned out to be a good one!
It sure did!
Mmm…that cooked salmon dinner looks delicious. The fresh seafood in Norway must be awesome, I’d go for that. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Seafood is usually a safe bet. Our shrimps are the best 🙂
That edamame looks deliciously fresh!! I love that it’s seasoned with chili and salt! That sounds delicious
I am not a huge edamame fan, but these I really liked, because of the chill and salt!
Looks like Xeast is one of those tricky restaurants where food is tastier than it sounds. I would have been reluctant to go to a restaurant that serves burgers. #TheWeeklyPostcard
I don’t mind a burger, but when a restaurant serves a little bit of this and a little bit of that, red flags go up 🙂
