Every time I visit Gothenburg, whether it is for the day or a longer stay, I always have to stop by Haga. It is undoubtedly my favourite part of the city. Unfortunately everyone else’s too, so be prepared for packed streets during the summer months and on weekends. And it is no wonder why this neighbourhood is so popular with tourists, and locals – it is a highly sought after area to live in. With its adorable 1800s low-rises housing small speciality shops and cinnamon bun cafes along cobblestoned streets, it is a nice break from the more busy life that you’ll find elsewhere in the city, which funny enough is not that far away. Downside to this lovely part of the world is that it is small, with most of it based around one longitudinal street with a couple of side streets only.
I love small towns. I tend to prefer them over the larger cities, when traveling. Thanks for sharing! #TheWeeklyPostcard
Me too, besides New York 😀
Haha looks like a charming neighborhood, I can see why it is so crowded! I haven’t been to Sweden, must put it on my list 🙂 #TheWeeklyPostcard
Most put Stockholm on the list, and I get why :), but if you have time, you should definitely consider Gothenburg as well.
Gothenburg City with its cobblestone streets and shops looks like a fun place to explore, off season. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Haga is the best part, but the rest of Gothenburg is nice as well.
I’ve never been to Gethenburg but I think I need to add it to the list. I’ve heard great things about it.
You should 🙂
So sad to hear that this lovely street is often overcrowded! 🙁 Thanks for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard!
Yeah, I guess that’s what happens to great areas…
It looks like a cute area. I didn’t have time to make it to Gothenburg on my last trip to Sweden, hope to make on the next. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard
I really like Gothenburg, and Haga is the cutest 🙂
Worked it out in the address – d’uh!
😀
Gorgeous -I have to google where this is…. #Weeklypostcard
Where Gothenburg is, or where Haga is?
