At the Barn

restaurant gothenburg sweden

The Barn in Gothenburg I found on TripAdvisor. I can’t say I’ve had much luck previously with those finds, but this one I thought was cool. Don’t know how to describe the look of the place, but it has a rustic vibe to it – as I guess a barn should 🙂 – and is quite “dark”. A lot smaller than what I thought it would be, approaching the entrance in the quiet alleyway. After being showed to a table upstairs, I really felt like being on the loft in a barn. Anyway, I liked it! And now the reason why we came, the food. As you can see we went for burgers and fries, sweet potato fries – them I loved! Now, the burger. Unfortunately, it didn’t sit well with me. And I’m not going to blame it on the burger. I am going to blame it on my appetite. And my appetite was unfortunately ruined by the (bag) lady (sorry!) sitting at the table next to us. As she got up to go to the restroom, she turned her rear end on us as she moved sideways between the tables standing 30 cm apart. Unfortunately she had not pulled her pants up, meaning the top half of her butt cheeks and crack landed uncovered on our table. From there on and out, I had a problem I couldn’t get rid of…

  1. Ew some people are seriously so uncouth! I would have pushed her off of me! Thanks for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard!

  2. Yep, sometimes you discover some real gems on TripAdvisor. The Barn in Gothenburg seems one of those good finds. #TheWeeklyPostcard

  3. Ugh…People. I have been accused of shaming people in situations like that, but hey – if you’re going to stick your butt cheeks in my face, I reserve the right to comment on their general grossness. If it happens enough, maybe they’ll learn to dress better? Sorry you had to sit through that.

    1. It seemed like a son had taken his mom out for a nicer dinner, which is a nice thing to do! Had I done that, I would have helped my mom to look the part somewhat – but the son didn’t appear to be a person with that kind of initiative. I guess I just have to focus on the good deed…

  4. That is an awkward and unpleasant situation! Luckily I have not had to deal with that. I agree it’s not the burgers fault! #TheWeeklyPostcard

    1. 😀 It was one of those “freak accidents”, I guess 🙂 Having breakfast now, and I can still feel my appetite vanish thinking about it, so I have to stop thinking about it 🙂

Love to hear your comment :)
