Marina World in Kuwait City is a shopping and entertainment complex, which takes shopping and entertainment to the next level. It feels more like a neighbourhood, and I guess in some ways it is. But despite how much the area has happening, located along the beachfront it immediately gives off a chill vibe. So much that we stopped by a couple of times. Once at the Marina Waves, with its distinctive sails decor, for a look at the lovely Marina Beach, which was beautifully empty – this was in January 😉 Another time we went to Marina Crescent. Housing restaurants and cafes with outside seating facing the neighbourhood marina, it provided such a relaxing atmosphere. Looked like an expat hangout. Considering the size of Marina World, we ended up scraping the surface only. Apparently there are basketball courts, spas, gyms, skatepark, gallery, yacht club, water sport activities, kids playing areas, park, convention centre, palm tree lined promenade, five-star hotel, and, of course, shopping malls. As you can imagine, way too much to handle in a short time 🙂
I have to admit that the beachfront does look rather chill. #TheWeeklyPostcard
It does 😀
Like some others mentioned, I had never considered Kuwait a vacation spot. Sometimes the places we least expect, have the most exciting adventures! Thanks for sharing! #TheWeeklyPostcard
True, it all comes down to expectations 🙂
To be honest I didn’t think of Kuwait as a travel destination before. Would definitely cool to visit.
