The Ruins of St. Paul’s in Macau are the remnants of a church and college that were destroyed by a fire in 1835. It felt like it took a while to get there, like the walk from the old town square was longer than what the map indicated – could be my imagination though 🙂 However when you do get there, and the broad set of stairs lead up to this magnificent facade, you forget about it, if you did find the walk to be too long. Like any other same looking structure, the carvings are impressive, but what awes me the most, is the fact that this facade stands there on “its own”, as a window to look through. This sight is definitely a must-do!!

Happy to jog your memory 🙂
It must be somewhat surreal to see the facade just standing there on its own. Pretty neat! #farawayfiles
It was! Like how is that possible.
When I saw your picture that was my first thought too – how is that standing?! Very cool
