Quito‘s Museo Nacional del Banco Central del Ecuador, a.k.a. National Museum of Ecuador, a.k.a. Central Bank Museum, took a while to find. It is located in the fairly big Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana complex, which houses a bunch of things, like museums, exhibition spaces, auditoriums, theatres, and even a cinema. With all these institutions present, it was all about finding the correct entrance. When I finally did, I must say the somewhat uncomfortable bus ride from the old town, was unfortunately not worth it. The museum is home to an extensive collection, and it just got to be too much ceramics and gold artefacts for my taste. Overload, basically. There’s also rooms displaying colonial, republican and contemporary art, but at that point I was cooked on both sides.
As said, to get to the museum I got on the bus, a very crammed one. This is the first time I have felt slightly uncomfortable while travelling. Wouldn’t say unsafe, just a bit uneasy.

Oh, that’s disappointing. Did anything happen on the bus? Or just that vibe? #WanderfulWednesdays
No, just the vibe. Could just be me not feeling on top of things. Have gotten tired of the museum scene, so these days it must be exceptional for me to go visit.
