After trotting around Ollantaytambo, exploring what the small village had to offer, my biggest wish was to find a nice, little place to sit down for a break. Apparently La Esquina Cafe & Bakery must have looked inviting. I don’t remember being too excited walking in, but a lot more so when I saw what waited inside. The lovely looking husband-and-wife-run spot next to Plaza de Armas is serving up lunch, dinner and, to my utterly liking, homemade desserts and cakes – I could see it straight away as I approached the cake stand. Needless to say I found what I was looking for, and more – teatime, I’m ready!

What a find, there’s nothing like homemade dessets.
Homemade cakes, homemade desserts, I’m in 😀
I love home baked cookies and I can only imagine how good these must have tasted. I hope to visit Peru someday. #TheWeeklyPostcard
I was definitely very happy I found this place 🙂
Sounds like you got lucky! Glad to hear you enjoyed it, thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard.
Yes, I did 🙂
So, don’t leave me hanging! What did you end up eating? #TheWeeklyPostcard
I got homemade chocolate chip cookies to go with my tea 🙂
Oh it was a pity we did not have time to walk around!
Don’t want to make you even more sorry, but Ollantaytambo was a gem. I am so glad I chose it over Cusco, spent one day in Cusco only.
LOL. No worries… not likely to easily make it back. So it’s water under the bridge. Glad you enjoyed it!
True! Unfortunately we can’t visit every little part of this world 🙂
