While I was visiting New York‘s Coney Island neighbourhood, I kind of felt obligated to pop into Luna Park. Where the boardwalk was nice and calm, despite there being a lot of people out this Saturday early afternoon, inside Luna Park it was a whole different story.Β Crazy chaos! I’m not much of an amusement park person, unless you count Disney parks :), as I am too much of a chicken to go on any rides. In other words not a huge bummerΒ that after a short whileΒ the mayhem got too much to handle for this one, and I stepped outside again. At least I got see theΒ 1927 wooden roller coaster Cyclone, and the almost 100 year old Wonder Wheel. History!

Looks like a fun place to visit. #TheWeeklyPostcard
If you’re into amusement parks π
Of course. π I think my husband would love this. Too bad it is closed in December when weβre travelling to NY.
I didn’t know it closed, but thinking about it, it sounds like a good decision π
True. π
Rollercoasters have never been my cup of tea, but I’d love to visit Coney Island one day. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Same here π
I’ll never go on one of those wooden rollercoasters again! I went on one at Magic Mountain and it was soooo rickety it hurt so bad! I wanted off asap and I looove rollercoasters, but that left me in pain! Thanks for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard!
Wow, I didn’t think there’d be a difference between wooden ones and others. I don’t do neither π
Even though I lived in NYC, I never made it to Coney Island. I am not big on roller coasters but it would have still been fun to see. Maybe on my next visit. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard.
Really π I thought I was late coming to the party, on my second NY visit π I liked the boardwalk and the beach, the amusement park not so much π
Coney Island is totally on my list! The vintage rides look cool, but I may be a little concerned about their safety. Though they probably built them to last in those days π #TheWeeklyPostcard
The Ferris wheel I think must be safe. The roller coaster I too have my doubts about π I’m not into these things, so this was too much for me to handle π
Luna Park on Sydney Harbour is an iconic amusement park that I visited a few times many years ago. I’d love to compare Sydney’s park and the Coney Island park.
I didn’t know there is one in Sydney. I passed the one in Melbourne, it was closed, off-season.
Oh I love luna parks and would love to visit the one in Coney Island one day!

It would be like visiting the mother ship π
