Brooklyn Heights Promenade, a.k.a. the Esplanade, is a pedestrian walkway with the view a lot of New York visitors crave. I have done the free, and insanely packed, Staten Island ferry, but nothing beats this! I’d say it is the best spot to enjoy the Lower Manhattan city outline from. Having Brooklyn Bridge at one end of the 500 meter platform makes it easily accessible, but as I was staying out in Bed-Stuy, I got off at the High Street Brooklyn Bridge metro stop, walked down, through the lovely neighbourhood of Brooklyn Heights, to the other end at Remsen Street. Many roads lead to Rome 🙂

It’s one of my favorite skylines!
True!
Yes, I love that area too. The views are amazing. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard.
Thumbs up to Brooklyn 🙂
That is one beautiful city skyline! Would love to return to NY! Thanks for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard!
Best skyline view option I’ve come across, so far. Did the Staten Island ferry too. That was just too crammed by crazy tourists :), and I think this is a better view.
I agree, it is a fabulous NYC skyline shot! Bet it’s pretty at night, too. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Not my shot, so I wouldn’t take credit 🙂 But the view is great! Unfortunately I didn’t get to see it at night, because I was staying further “inland” in Brooklyn. Having an Airbnb with that night view would have been excellent, and very expensive I assume 😀
Its beautiful the view!
Yes! And the best point to view it from.
