An Italian Corner South of the Sahara

Since I was sleeping at this Livingstone place, I also, of course, had to eat at it. I had read rave reviews before coming, about their traditional Italian cooking, so expectations were high. It might have been in my best interest to lower them a little bit. The plunge would have been smaller. With the restaurant right across from my hotel room, I had a few meals here. I’d say stay away from the sandwiches – pretty boring and tasteless. The focaccia wasn’t up to par either. Instead go with the wood-fired oven pizzas, even though the topping I had chosen wasn’t to my taste. I reckon it was just my weird preferences. I want sliced pepperoni, not diced. As I said, weird 🙂 On the other hand the crust was superb! And I dig a mean crust! I had loved to try another pizza, but time had run out. Also thumbs up to their breakfast – plentiful! PS! All the profits from the company goes towards helping the vulnerable youth of Livingstone through an educational project, with some of them working here too. Another reason to visit!

Olga’s The Italian Corner is away from the village centre, like a 10 min walk towards the falls, next to Mosi-Oa-Tunya Square Mall.
