If you’re in Johannesburg and into fashion and local designers, you surely have to go visit The Work Shop in Newtown. It is a potato shed from 1911 that has been turned into a space for local designers to showcase their work. It is a really cool set-up, where each creative has their own little shop to display their equally cool products. Unfortunately, this day I wasn’t in the mood for shopping – yes, it can happen 🙂 – so I didn’t leave with any bags attached to my name. However I did sniff down boutiques carrying locals brands and designers elsewhere in South Africa, and it is definitely worth seeking out as you get really nice clothes/designs, that are easy on the wallet too 🙂
This looks very interesting
It was really cool! Unfortunately I didn’t find anything to buy, think I just wasn’t in shopping mode 🙂
I came across somewhere similar in Cape Town – love seeing local designers. Thanks for linking up with #citytripping
Do you remember where in Cape Town? Love it as well!
A potato shed turned designer boutique? Love it!
