Bangkok Airport Hotel I

budget airport hotel bangkok thailand

Travelling from Oslo to Sydney via Bangkok, and not being too fond of going from one long flight directly to another, I ended up choosing to have a longer than necessary lay-over in Bangkok. And also not being interested in staying at the airport for several hours, I decided to book a cheap hotel room for the hours I had to spend in transit, just to be able to stretch out on a bed and get a nap. With the hotel just a short drive away from Suvarnabhumi, it was definitely a good idea. But would I stay here for another reason? No! It is very basic. Bathroom pretty sad. With the humidity making me uncomfortable, finding out that the shower did not work, or I just didn’t know how to work it, was a bummer. Area nothing much, at the very best, local looking.

Note: Photo is from hotel’s website.

  1. What a terrible experience. Hopefully your next trip you will find a better hotel. Hard to sleep with high humidity then wow, no shower. Thanks for sharing! #TheWeeklyPostcard

    1. I got what I needed (a bed to stretch out on), sans the shower. And I got what I paid for 😉

  2. Sorry to hear that 🙁 But on the other hand, it’s better than being at the airport.

  3. I guess it served it’s purpose but it is too bad it was not nicer. I find that pretty typical with airport area hotels though. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard

    1. Yes, it did. I just needed a bed only. But wouldn’t mind if it was a bit nicer. Sometimes I guess you get what you pay for 😀

  4. Aw that’s a shame it was not very comfortable! I really hate that because you spend hard earned money! Thanks for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard!

Love to hear your comment :)
