Yes, please do consider staying here, at Casa de Avila, if you are in Arequipa. It is a basic hotel, but the reason I wish I had had more time in this mountain city. Because of the short time I had set aside, I was not able to take advantage of the Spanish lessons or the cooking classes held in the peaceful courtyard garden. So bummed!! I was only able to use it for relaxing after a long day out and about. Which is also to make good use of it 🙂 As the rest of the hotel the room is basic, you have what you need to be comfortable. Just have in mind if you’re visiting in the(ir) winter, the room will get pretty freezing in the evening, as soon as the sun sets, so bringing warm clothes would be a brilliant idea 🙂
This hotel is in short walking distance of Plaza de Armas. There’s also a small store/kiosk next door, for bare necessities.

Its always so nice when you enjoy your accommodations! That can make or break a trip, don’t you think? Thanks for sharing your experience on #FarawayFiles
So true! You need a comfy place to go back to and relax after a day out and about.
Spanish lessons in the garden.. I’m in! #farawayfiles
Just wish I had had time :(, but great opportunity!
I’ve had places where once I arrived I realized i should have allowed more time. It’s fine if you think you might come back, but can be disappointing if that’s unlikely. #wkendtravelinspiration
Totally agree! I’ve had a few of them 🙁 Now I have learned not to plan each and every day before arriving, but have an extra day or so for things I wasn’t aware of beforehand.
Will definitely do once I travel there sometime! 😁 but the picture looks really nice!
Great place! You’re gonna like it if budget is your style 🙂
