Central Amsterdam Hotel

For Amsterdam I wanted something cheap, but central and decent. That was not easy to find, so I had to cave on one of three, and decided upon NH Caransa. Centrally located on Rembrandtplein, you can easily travel by foot or make use of the street cars that stop here. When you arrive do look closely as the entrance is pretty anonymous, at least I thought so. You’ll spot it among the plenty of restaurants and bars surrounding it. Even though it looked like party central, I didn’t notice any street noise slipping into our room. My friend, who joined me in Amsterdam for the few days I spent there, on my semi tour of Europe (London, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, Zurich), is a light sleeper, and she didn’t experience any sleepless nights. I think she was quite surprised 🙂 Besides a great location the hotel and room are very nice. What you would expect from a 4 star. On their website it looks like there’s a rooftop bar. Probably great views. We didn’t go up. Honestly, I don’t think we noticed it 🙂

PS! It was cheaper to book my NH Andorra hotel through the NH website than hotels.com and Trivago. I assume the same goes for this hotel. Worth checking out – link below!

    1. Really liked Amsterdam and loved Kinderdijk! Rotterdam and Delft was not too impressive 🙂 My Dutch experiences. Would like to visit Keukenhof. Looks incredible!

      1. I am glad you enjoyed my country, but especially that you saw something besides Amsterdam. Everyone goes there, it’s fun to see the occasional traveller also taking a different turn.

        1. Kind of saw the “whole” of Amsterdam the first time, so second time I wanted to do something else. Third time I only went shopping and eating, in Amsterdam 🙂

            1. According to some I travel a lot, according to myself I don’t think I travel that much 🙂 Usually a 4-5 week “summer” holiday and 2-3 smaller trips.

  1. Oh there will be so much more to do around Rembrandtplein. Ah, the city will ‘hook’ you for a long time! lol
