Hotel Bristol has been in Oslo…forever! Situated on one of the backstreets of main thoroughfare Karl Johans gate, it has the perfect location. When you enter you are met by a grand reception area/cafe, and the breakfast room the next morning is nothing short of stunning. I ended up having to stay at this place when I was not able to get a taxi home from downtown one night after work. The next morning I didn’t take my time to enjoy breakfast before heading home to my own bed. Didn’t feel particularly fresh in yesterday’s clothes. There are several eating options on premise, and they all look cool. Rumour has it Bristol Grill is really good. If you’re sensitive to sound, you might want to get a room not facing the street, as sounds travel well. Turned out my next door neighbour was legendary London Pub, gay hotspot from the ’70s. Room is decorated in the same vein as the rest of the hotel, and equipped with L’Occitane toiletries – I’m happy 🙂

L’occitane toiletries in the bathroom are always a good sign! Thanks for linking up with #citytripping
Totally agree 🙂
I bet you were glad that you couldn’t get a taxi that night. What a cool hotel! I love a bit of old world charm in a place. #citytripping
Great hotel, but it would have been a lot better to have make-up remover, toothbrush and clean clothes at hand 🙂
